Safari & Leisure Charters

The problem. Uganda's parks are hours — sometimes days — apart by road. A trip that tries to see gorillas, savannah and the Nile can lose most of its time in a vehicle.

Asante's solution. Point-to-point flights between Entebbe, the parks, the lodges and the safari strips, so the days are spent on game drives. Scenic routings over the Nile, the Rift Valley escarpment or the crater lakes are an option on the way.

Aircraft capability. The Grand Caravan carries up to 8 with soft luggage, and lands on the short unpaved strips at the park gates.

Areas served. Bwindi, Mgahinga, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale, Murchison Falls, Kidepo Valley, Lake Mburo, plus regional links to the Serengeti and Maasai Mara ecosystems by arrangement.

Safety. Every routing is planned to daylight, weather minima and strip condition; loads are weighed and balanced before departure.

Medical Evacuation

The problem. A patient at a field site or a park needs to reach a hospital in Kampala, fast, with the right care en route.

Asante's solution. Coordinated medical evacuations with hospitals, insurers and certified medical teams. We handle aircraft, crew and clearances while the medical team prepares the patient.

Aircraft capability. The cabin takes a stretcher with room for accompanying medical crew and equipment; changeover from passenger config is quick.

How much notice do you need?
For most charters, a day or two is comfortable. Medevac and urgent cargo can often be arranged within hours — call rather than email.
How is a charter priced?
By the aircraft and the routing — distance, flight time, positioning, airfield fees and any overnight for the crew. You get an exact figure before you commit.
Can you fly to a lodge airstrip that isn't on your list?
Usually. The Caravan can use most licensed private and lodge strips in Uganda and the region. Send the name or coordinates and we'll check it.
What can I bring?
Soft bags only, with a guideline of 15 kg checked plus 5 kg cabin per person — confirmed against the load for your flight. See Baggage allowance.
