Asante Aviation Limited was established in 2005 as a Ugandan-owned aviation company, providing safe, reliable and convenient air travel. Over two decades it has grown from a charter operator into an airline offering both scheduled flights and private charter, connecting travellers to key destinations across Uganda and the region.
The company operates from Entebbe International Airport, in the Passenger Terminal Building, and flies the Cessna Grand Caravan on routes that reach the national parks, the regional centres and the remote strips the road takes days to reach.
The Meaning Behind "Flying People To People"
Asante is Swahili for thank you. The logo carries the line flying people to people, and it is meant literally: the business exists to bring families, teams, leaders, tourists, professionals and communities closer to their next destination — and to each other.
It also sets the tone. Aviation demands discipline; hospitality demands warmth. Asante tries to hold both, so that a customer feels their journey is organised before they even board.
Mission, Vision & Values
Vision
Flying people to people — connecting every Ugandan and visitor to key destinations through accessible air travel.
Mission
To make domestic air travel in Uganda sustainable, affordable, seamless, safe and comfortable — so that flying becomes a natural part of travel across the country rather than a luxury for a few.
Values
Safety first — every decision is checked against it.
Reliability — do what we said we would, when we said we would.
Coordination — the parts around the flight handled, not left to the customer.
Hospitality — professional, warm, and never distant.
Local knowledge — a Ugandan company that knows the strips, the weather and the ground.
Leadership Team
Placeholder — replace with verified names, roles and photographs before launch.
Managing Director
Overall responsibility for the company, its strategy and its relationships with regulators and partners.
Head Of Flight Operations
The Accountable Manager for operational safety, crew standards and operational control.
Commercial & Charter Manager
Quotes, bookings, client relationships and the charter desk.
Pilots & Operations Team
Flights are operated by licensed commercial pilots trained and checked on the Grand Caravan to Uganda Civil Aviation Authority requirements, with recurrent training and familiarity with the airfields on the network. Behind them sits an operations team that plans every flight — weather, load, airfield status, fuel and daylight — and an engineering team, supported by approved maintenance organisations in Uganda, that keeps the aircraft airworthy.
Areas Of Operation
From the hub at Entebbe, Asante operates across Uganda:
South-west: Kihihi, Kisoro and Mbarara — Bwindi, Mgahinga and Lake Mburo.
West: Kasese and Mweya — Queen Elizabeth, the Rwenzori and Kibale.
Mid-north: Pakuba, Bugungu, Chobe and Masindi — Murchison Falls.
North & north-east: Gulu, Lira, Arua, Kidepo and Moroto — West Nile, Acholi and Karamoja.
East: Jinja, Soroti and Tororo — the Nile, Teso and Mount Elgon.
Regional cross-border flights — the Serengeti and Mara ecosystems, Kigali, Nairobi — operate by charter arrangement, subject to permits and range.
Community & Humanitarian Involvement
Asante supports humanitarian and contract flying for NGOs, institutions and field programmes, and coordinates medical evacuations with hospitals and insurers. The same aircraft that flies a safari in the morning can move a patient or a load of relief supplies in the afternoon.
Add specific programmes, partnerships and community initiatives here once confirmed.
Regulators, Bodies & Partners
Asante Aviation is regulated by Uganda's aviation authority and works with the national tourism bodies and the tour-operator trade.
UGANDA CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITYThe government body that regulates all civil flying in Ugandan airspace — it licenses operators, certifies aircraft and crew, runs air traffic control and manages the country's airports. Asante holds a UCAA Air Operator Certificate (UG/CAA/AOC/009) and Air Service Licences for both scheduled and non-scheduled passenger and cargo operations. Every Asante flight is planned, released and followed under that certificate, and the fleet is maintained to a UCAA-approved programme. See our safety approach.
UGANDA TOURISM BOARDUganda's national tourism authority, responsible for marketing the country abroad and setting standards for the tourism trade. Asante's scheduled flights to Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth, Lake Mburo, Murchison Falls and Kidepo are part of the air access that makes Uganda's parks reachable in a day, and support the Board's work to grow the country as a gorilla-trekking and safari destination.
ASSOCIATION OF UGANDA TOUR OPERATORSThe trade association for Uganda's licensed tour and travel operators. It sets a members' code of conduct, represents the industry to government and vets its members. These are the companies Asante flies for every day — moving their clients between the parks by air — and working within AUTO holds the airline to the same professional standard.

Uganda's Scheduled-Flight Market Opens Up

Asante Aviation Joins The Association Of Uganda Tour Operators
AUTO welcomed Asante Aviation as a corporate member, describing it as a step that integrates aviation services into Uganda's tourism value chain. Working With The Uganda Tourism Board On Domestic Air Travel
Ahead of World Tourism Day, Asante's chief executive Ronald Kasozi Lubega and Uganda Tourism Board chief executive Juliana Kagwa set out plans to widen air access and grow domestic tourism — so travellers can reach several parks in a day rather than lose hours on the road.
